Information about the Event

The 4 days of the Malta Catering Expo have come to an end with a successful close of the Malta Kulinarja competitions.

We, together with the Malta Chefs Society, would like to thank all exhibitors and chefs together with catering industry professionals who took part and visited this successful event.

As this event is held every 2 years, we look forward to seeing you all at the Malta Catering Expo 2022 edition.

The Malta Catering Expo is Malta’s main culinary B2B event held in association with the Malta Chefs’ Society.  

It showcases the latest trends and innovations in the catering industry by Malta’s leading suppliers. This all happens in conjunction with the Malta Kulinarja, a chef’s competition extravaganza that has over 200 leading professionals battling out to win Malta’s prestigious culinary awards.

Purchasing managers, F&B managers, chefs, restaurateurs and all major players within the Horeca industry visit the event to see the latest innovations within the catering world whilst seeing leading chefs, both local and foreign, competing in Malta’s main catering competition – Malta Kulinarja.

Malta Kulinarja is held under the auspices of WACS – World Association of Chefs Societies, thereby necessitating the presence of international judges to officiate the event, together with the Malta Chef’s Society.

In previous editions, some 8 foreign WACS accredited judges were flown down specifically to handle the points system for every competition. Chefs competing hail from local hotels and restaurants, together with a number of teams coming from overseas.

On Monday 27th January, a conference will be held, in collaboration with the newly launched HORECA magazine, for business leaders to listen, discuss and interact with the panel of speakers touching upon various topical subjects and issues pertaining to the catering industry.

Exhibitors will have the focused platform from which to showcase their products and services to the decision makers throughout the 4 days of the event, with further networking opportunities throughout the expo hours.

The Malta Catering Expo 2020 is the main event to kickstart your successful culinary year ahead.
