The Voca People is a phenomenal international vocal theater performance. It combines amazing vocal sounds and a cappella singing with the art of modern beat box. All this is done without using musical instruments and performed in a humoristic way with audience participation.
Voca People is an ensemble of 8 talented musician-actors; 3 alien female (alt, mezzo, and soprano) and 3 alien male singers (bass, baritone, tenor). In addition, 2 beat box artists who create extraordinary beat box sounds and are considered amongst the best performers in this field. Voca People believe music is the most powerful source of energy in the universe. According to Voca People, music is found everywhere in all elements of the surrounding nature and within all living creatures. Music can create the most powerful emotions and give hope and happiness to all creatures.
The show features a number of all time favorites including: Ameno by Eric Levy, 5th Symphony by Beethoven, The Magic Flute by Mozart, Tutti Frutti by Richard Wayne, Sex Bomb by Errol Rennalls, Got my Mind set on You by Rudy Clarck, Fever by John Davenport, James Bond Theme by Monty Newman, Billie Jean by Michael Jackson, I like to Move it by Erick Morillo amongst others.
The Voca People show is created, written and directed by Lior Kalfo, an award-winning actor and creator. The first video clip of “Voca People” was launched in April 2009 on “Youtube”, this clip had more than 6 million views worldwide, in only four months, creating a great buzz and interest in the show.
