Information about the Event
The local Maltese Karate School, SKSM Malta will be organizing the 17th Edition of the MALTA Open International Karate and Kobudo Championships at the MFCC, Ta Qali. The event runs on 2 days, Friday, 15th March and Saturday, 16th March
The 2 day event consists of competitions and displays both in Karate and Kobudo (Martial Arts Weapons) Disciplines. Karate Shows and
Kobudo Championships will run in parallel offering a great spectator experience to all those who wish to attend this event.
During the 2 days of the Championship competitors will also perform Kata, demonstration of techniques, on Friday and a Kumite, Fighting Show, on Saturday.
The Official inauguration will be held on Friday night, with a spectacular light and laser show.
For the first time at the Malta Open Edition, a 4 Nations Challenge Shield will be organized between 4 Countries, and we are proud to say that Malta will be one of those Nations.
The general public is encouraged to attend this championship and support the Maltese Karate Team.
